Milk Supply Boosting Recipe - Moringa Soup

Moringa is a green leafy vegetable native to south Asia and is somewhat of a super food that is excellent for boosting milk supply. Whether you have access to fresh moringa, powdered moringa, or other leafy green vegetables, a similar recipe to this can be used to help keep you hydrated and nourished so that you can nourish your baby too.

 

Ingredients:

1 whole chicken, cut into serving pieces

36oz rice washing (water from washing rice)

2 cups chopped Moringa leaves (alternative: bok choy)

1/2 small green papaya/chayote wedges

1tbsp garlic, minced

1 medium sized onion, chopped

1 thumb ginger, cut into strips

2 tbsp fish sauce

salt & pepper

 

Instructions:

1. Saute the garlic, onions and ginger

2. Add the chicken pieces and cook until it is lightly browned. Add the fish sauce and mix well

3. Pour in the rice washing and bring to a boil. Simmer for 45min

4. Add the greens and simmer for another 5min. Salt & pepper to taste
